Overcoming Boundages Vol. 3 Sustain Your freedom by Joshua Dsane

God's plan for us is to sustain whatever we receive from Him. This is John 10:10 says that ''...He has come that we may have life and more abundantly....'' We need to grow in whatever Christ produces in us.

There are four primary ways of sustaining your freedom from bondage.

The first way is to die to oneself.
Most of us are so much alive to ourselves that we are a good habitat for the bondage we have been delivered from to return.
Where there is death, nothing exists.
Romans 6:7  For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Most of us have engaged the methods of deliverance, but the reason why it is still not permanent is because of this missing factor. We need to die to ourselves.

Jesus said that whosoever saves his life shall lose it, but those who lose their life for my sake shall gain it.

We need to die to so many things that lead to bondage. That was the principle Jesus used all His life.

He said in Matthew 6:33 that seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you.

It takes a man or woman dead to themselves to walk according to this verse.

This cannot be gotten by laying of hands or impartation. You need to take a decision based on the inspiration of God to die to yourself. Die to the love of money, die to the love for fame, die to the desires of this life, even die to being comfortable.

This is what it takes to sustain your freedom from bondage

A died man has no taste, no choice, no preference, no complains, no emotional swings, nothing. He accepts whatever is done to him just like that. A died person doesn't say the ground is too dark and hot for him but just follows.

If you become like that with God, it will be difficult to enter into bondage

The second way to sustain freedom is apply the law of The Spirit.
Romans 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

There is a law of the Spirit and once you have it working in your life, you will be free perpetually.

The law of the Spirit is love. Jesus said that the new testament has one general law which is the law of love. We must love the Lord with all our mind, soul, body and spirit and also love our neighbors as ourselves.

When a person is walking in love, it will be difficult for him to become a slave to sin or iniquity.

This law of the Spirit is also called the royal law. In other words, it's the law of the kingdom. Without this you cannot operate within the jurisdiction of God.

James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:

Romans 5:5 tells us that this love is shed abroad in our hearts. So we need to simply look deep down our hearts and tap into this well of love.

Every evil in this world is either because of the lack of love for God or love for our neighbors.
Love is the antidote for  bondage.

The third way to sustain freedom is to serve God.
Serving God keeps you far away from the snares of bondage. Your life will be on a totally different path the day you decide to serve God.

1 Corinthians 7:21  Art thou called being a servant? Care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.

Serving God is not about merely working for the kingdom, but serving whiles working.

Some people working for God without a servant's mindset. They either serve because they were asked to or because they feel left out as the only ones not serving God.

Serving God means serving God, even though it may benefit man.

If you have that mindset that whatever you do in God's kingdom is purely service to Him because He is your Lord and God.

Money will not be a deciding factor when you have to serve.

Jesus said a servant cannot be greater than His master, but today, Christians want to be greater than their Master.

Serving God is like a master key that opens every door of a house. Whenever you feel like you are returning back into bondage, take up the key of Service.

What we see as Service today is a phantom of the true service God expects from us.

Jesus called John the Baptist the greatest of all the great men of God who came before Jesus: from Adam. Why? Because John the Baptist served Jesus directly.

He said I am a voice in the wilderness preparing the way and He also said I must decrease so He increases. This is what made John the Baptist the greatest.

John the Baptist did not perform any miracle. So miracles don't prove nothing - John 10:41-42

Jesus told His disciples that he who wants to be the greatest must be the chief servant - Luke 22:26.

You are not great in God's kingdom because of the position or title you hold. No!
It's purely on how well and faithful you serve.

That's why all we are waiting to hear on the last day is "Thou good and faithful servant". Serving God will keep you free from bondage.

The fourth way to sustain your freedom is to dwell in the presence of God.
Heb. 12 calls it mount Zion or the heavenly Jerusalem.

Galatians 4:26  But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

The presence of God is the safest place to be on the planet.
You can pray, you can sing, you can study the word but if you don't dwell in the presence of God, bondage will take charge of you.

The presence of God is an atmosphere of God's Spirit

Most people do their daily Christian responsibilities without the presence of God. This is not a spooky feeling, or goose bumps all over your body. This is a pure presence where you feel God in your surrounding.

Psalm 46:10 says Be still and know that I am God.

God will wait till there is no distraction, no fleshy obstruction, and total focus on Him.

Create an atmosphere of God's presence wherever you find yourself. Don't get caught up in your natural environment.

This period of isolation is a great opportunity for you to create a conducive atmosphere for God to tabernacle with you.

Remember that the presence of God take time to create and the longer you stay the further you can experience. You have enough time on your hand this time.

Stay in His presence for hours and God will turn your destiny around.

So in conclusion, the 4 ways to sustain your freedom is: to die to yourself, to apply the law of the Spirit, which is love, to serve God genuinely and to dwell in His presence.

Once these four pillars are erected, no bondage from the north, south, east or west can come close to you.

I pray that from today, you will work on sustaining your freedom and God will make you a wonder to your generation!

Love as Strong as Death - Karabo Moloisi

Song of Solomon 8:6 says 'Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame' Think about this for a moment... You know, when its time for a person to die, there is nothing that person can do to escape it. There is no opinion that death asks from him or her. No negotiations at all. Death has no respect for anyone's dignity or whatever status or position a person holds. Now, the bible says "... Love  is as  Strong  as  Death ..." Same non-negotiable force death comes with. That's how strong this 'Love' is. Once He gets a hold of you, He won't let go. 3 Things Jesus Tells Us about Worry by Mark Altrogge

Jesus had a lot to say about worry. He came into an unstable and unpredictable world. He lived in an agricultural society where one summer’s drought could wipe out crops for the winter. He hung out with fishermen, who might fish all night long and catch nothing to sell or bring home to family. And Jesus knew the human heart and the temptations presented by the cares of this life. So he gave his disciples some excellent instruction on worry in Matthew 6. “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? (25) First, Jesus says God gave us our human life and our bodies without us even asking. Human life and our physical bodies are incredibly valuable. Our life is much more valuable than the food we put on the table; our body far more valuable than the shirt we put on. If God gave us life, which is so very valuable, will he not g...
