The Evil of Familiarity- Evang. Edwin Quaye

I usually don't talk about familiarity in the church because I believe in oneness and openness when it comes to the anointed folk and church relations but I believe its high time we look into this.
Familiarity is one major reasons why most anointed folk can't operate spiritually in some territories!!!
Jesus could not do a lot of miracles in His own hometown because of familiarity. The said "is this not the carpenters son?", "are his sisters not here with us?", "is that not Mary's son?"
They rated him according to his background and reduced him to a mere mortal.
This is the reason why many anointed folk can't perform well in their home zones (because the people refuse to see the calling and anointing upon their lives)
A prophet is without honor in his own home.
They see him as brother so so and so. "We grew up with him, we saw him eat, make mistakes, being scolded and insulted."
They say in their hearts "ah is he not  the one who was helped? Is she not the one the guy dumped? Is that not brother/sister this or that who used to listen to worldly music with us?" This is because they've forgotten the Lord has chosen and anointed you.
When the Lord anoints a man, he becomes a different man, thus, not the "person" you used to know. There is a transformation in the spirit man which the natural or normal born again man does not have.
There are levels in the spirit which the person has been placed which you might be at. He or she gains access to a realm which you've not gained access to, yet. This is why the anointed man sees things differently from the natural man. The tasks and instructions the Lord gives to him may seem unusual to the natural man but is very essential.
The challenge is that man looks on the outer and God looks on the inside. While God is seeing His anointed servant, man is seeing the regular person who poos, pees, farts, sins, and is shameless.
You need to grow and see past the immediate. You must look beyond what the natural eye is seeing and see in the spirit. The brother you know to be from the same womb you came from,  could be God's chosen vessel to the nations!
Familiarity will cause you to see your pastor as your uncle, your senior minister as your cousin, your choir leader as your brother and your youth leader as your childhood friend.
Familiarity will cause you to ignore correction from your parents, anointed folk around you. It will cause you to say things like "when they mess us then they'd come and say their anointed"
Familiarity will cause you to loose your blessing when others are sowing seeds, being healed and drawing from the  wells of glory from the same man you despise.
Familiarity will cause you to see your spiritual leader as your class mate, course mate and "post kaya"
Matthew13: 54
"And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?"
Their familiarity which led to unbelief, caused them to question His wisdom. Oh I imagine them saying "when did this one too get sense and he is coming to do miracles and preach to us" Lord have mercy!!
Vrs 55 says "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Matthew 13:56
"And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?"
When God was seeing His anointed son, his hood boys were seeing their "brother man". "Is it not his sister that that boy dey corner am? When did he become anointed? Mtchew make we hear things"
This is the attitude of familiarity.
Can you see that familiarity affected even Jesus?? The unbelief of the people caused his anointing not to work for them.
Familiarity has entered today's church and is killing the miracle ministry.
Some pastors are not working miracles simply because his members are familiar with him.
Matthew 13:57
"And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house."
Familiarity is what is causing many youth to be offended in the church because of irregularities, their own mistakes and how they see certain anointed folk!!
Let's wake up from deception of the devil.
Finally let's see the results of familiarity on Jesus' miracle ministry in his hometown.
Matthew 13:58
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief
Oh my darling Jesus!!!
Unbelief is killing today's ministries.
Could it be that you're the reason your pastor is not working miracles?
Could it be that you're the reason why your brother or sister wants to give up in ministry?
Could it be that you're the reason why the youth ministry is not flourishing as it should in your church?
Think about this!!!

Love as Strong as Death - Karabo Moloisi

Song of Solomon 8:6 says 'Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame' Think about this for a moment... You know, when its time for a person to die, there is nothing that person can do to escape it. There is no opinion that death asks from him or her. No negotiations at all. Death has no respect for anyone's dignity or whatever status or position a person holds. Now, the bible says "... Love  is as  Strong  as  Death ..." Same non-negotiable force death comes with. That's how strong this 'Love' is. Once He gets a hold of you, He won't let go. The Unconditional Never Ending Love of God #The_Unconditional_Never_Ending_Love_of_God Also read; Deuteronomy 4:24  24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God. Isaiah 49:16 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are...

3 Things Jesus Tells Us about Worry by Mark Altrogge

Jesus had a lot to say about worry. He came into an unstable and unpredictable world. He lived in an agricultural society where one summer’s drought could wipe out crops for the winter. He hung out with fishermen, who might fish all night long and catch nothing to sell or bring home to family. And Jesus knew the human heart and the temptations presented by the cares of this life. So he gave his disciples some excellent instruction on worry in Matthew 6. “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? (25) First, Jesus says God gave us our human life and our bodies without us even asking. Human life and our physical bodies are incredibly valuable. Our life is much more valuable than the food we put on the table; our body far more valuable than the shirt we put on. If God gave us life, which is so very valuable, will he not g...
